Instead of an article, I finished part one of my transplant story and posted it on my home page. It's pretty long, but it was a labor of love. Part one deals with the background leading up to my heart attack. Part 2 will focus on the 10 weeks I stayed at Montefiore and Part 3 will cover the time after that.

Otherwise, I have two comments:

1 - If you have ever suffered from serious nerve pain, talk to your doctor about Neurontin. It's an incredible drug. It makes me a little sleepy, but I'm pain-free for the first time in a month.

2 - If you have cable/satellite TV, watch a show called MXC on Spike TV. It's actually a physical game show from Japan. However, a couple of Americans bought the rights to show it here without the voice track. They supply their own voices and dialogue with some hysterical results. Have to say it may have been the funniest thing I've seen on TV in a few years. It airs on Thursday nights at 9:00 Central.

Well, I have an appointment with the pain management clinic to have an epidural injection in my back. That should be fun. They used to knock me out for it, but because of the reaction I had after my bypass, they don't feel comfortable doing that. Ugh.

Nice to see Barghouti convicted. No surprise. I guess I'm waiting for the UN to come out with a resolution condemning Israel's judicial legitimacy. Double ugh.

Oh, and great article by the always impressive Ann Coulter. Anytime anyone laughs at Arafat as a Nobel Peace Prize winner, I get all misty eyed. She's great.

Well, have a great weekend and let me know what you think. I added a new link below each blog entry to make it easier to comment. I'd love to get feedback.
