I have never considered myself to be a fan of Quentin Tarantino, but after watching the two "Kill Bill" movie, I'm sold. As with most people, I enjoyed Part one more than two. Part one really left me with a lot of questions and I have to admit, I still have some after watching Part 2.
For example, didn't it look as though she was shot at point-blank range by Bill's brother? She was also bleeding quite a bit. If she was only knocked backwards, why was she bleeding? And if she was really hit, how could she have survived?

So, New Jersey's governor, James McGreevey, resigned due to a gay love affair. I felt bad for him. After reading why he resigned, I felt worse for him. But what really bothered me is that he was extorted by Golan Cipel, an Israeli poet.
The world does not need any more ammunition against the Jews. Y'know, it's funny. I do sympathize with the abuse and difficulties homosexuals endure. My anger is not at his being Gay (or bi-sexual), or even at his having cheated on his wife, but at Golan Cipel. Aside from the fact that he had a relationship of that nature, with a married man, he thought so little of the Governor to threaten to expose him. And it wasn't that he was hurt by the affair, oh no, it was all about money.
Kinda makes me ill.

The best time of year is here. This weekend marks the first week of the NFL pre-season. From a fan's perspective, it's as if autumn was here. Of course, the fact that Chicago set a record for the lowest high temperature, the last two days, certainly didn't hurt.
But, it also reminds me that winter is coming as well. For those of you with arthritis (and/or anemia), I don't have to tell you how bad winter in Chicago can get.

By the way, there are a couple of new TV shows that have been keeping me company the last few weeks. One is "Blue Collar TV", with Jeff Foxworthy. Being the redneck (some say redneck wannabe), I thoroughly enjoy this sketch comedy.
Another one is "Crossballs" on Comedy Central. It's a "take-off" of "Hardball", with Chris Matthews. It features a panel of expert, who debate certain issues. However, 2 members of the panel and all of the video guests are comedians (as opposed to people from Canada) acting as experts.
Thirdly, this weekend marks the return of "The Family Guy", on FOX. I have watched every episode (including the "Once Upon a Weinstein" episode, which never aired on commercial television). This show, in my opinion, ranks up there with the greats. Every episode is simply hilarious.
