Yes, I'm relieved. No, I am certainly not going to gloat.
I just watched Senator Kerry's concession remarks and I appreciate his message of reconciliation. While I didn't expect him to speak otherwise, he didn't have to even bring it up.
The country really does need to come back together. I believe that President Bush has much more of a mandate than he had in 2000, and I think that will help his standing. It will be a real test of the President to work at bringing both sides of the electorate together. However, it is also up to the Democrats to forge this as well. The majority of the country agree that Bush has the right idea regarding the war and both parties need to work together to see this through.
Unfortunately, we are only 2 and a half years away from the start-up to 2008. I can already imagine Hillary gearing up. Can't wait till that happens!
I appreciate all the comments from both Bush supporters and Kerry supporters. I intend to continue my blog and my articles and hope that although this election is over, many of you will continue to support my blog and continue to visit.
