Forget about the latest reincarnation. Mahmoud Abbas is the same person he was when he callously claimed that the holocaust was a hoax. The Abbas we have heard from the past few weeks - calling for the right of return of all Arabs to Israel (as opposed to a new "Palestinian" state) is just the same wolf in sheep's clothing.

I really don't understand why the west is fawning over this guy. While he admits that terrorism is bad, he ignores the fact that ii is wrong. He has made it perfectly clear that his problem is not with the Jihad itself, just with the way it's being run. In his own speeches, Abbas stated that terrorism is hurtful to the cause. Like Arafat, he's betting on the west's pressure on Israel in order to weaken the Jewish state and obtain the true desire of his people - Arab Palestine "from the Jordan to the sea."

Don't fooled by Abbas. He's no "moderate."
