1. She is not brain dead
2. She has shown that she is aware of her surroundings and her family
3. There is absolutely no proof the she would have wanted to die
4. Michael Schiavo has spent all but $50,000 of the nearly $1 million awarded to Terry in a malpractice suit. The money was
designated for future medical expenses, but court records show that much of the money went towards legal proceedings, including $400,000 that went to Michael Schiavo' s attorney.
And to add to the misery, they want to starve her to death!
Even criminals on death row die with more dignity. If she were a mass murdered, death by starvation would constitute "cruel and unusual punishment".
Furthermore, where the hell is the ACLU in all of this. They come to the aid of the absolutely worst that society has to offer, but when it comes to an ordinary American citizen, they clam up.
Why?
This culture of death is disgusting and I believe is greatly linked to the absence of G-d in the leftists lives.
That's right. Leftists. You won't find many in the center or right pushing for Terri's death.
When you devalue the omnipotency of G-d and elevate humanism, their thought process begins to make sense. It's not that much different from the other myriad of examples throughout history. When it's been up to society to define what is right and what is wrong, we end up with Nazism, communism and fascism.
It's been proven time after time. In the liberal mind-set, death is glorified as a needed occurrence in order to improve the lives of the living. Recently, we saw this attitude when Hunter Thompson blew his brains out in front of his children - all the while being praised for his courage.
It may well be true that Terri mentioned to her husband (privately) that she wouldn't have wanted to live like this. However, since there is only her husband's testimony - and clearly questions about his motive - how can anyone justify starving this poor woman to death?
Where is the NCADP??? Where is NOW???
Their silence is deafening.
