These things have me puzzled...
Why does everyone call the freaks who marched in San Francisco and Washington "anti-war" protesters? They aren't anti-anything except anti-Israel. They don't want peace, they want blood - Jewish blood. They could care less for the few hundred Lebanese fatalities. If they truly cared for their brothers in the Arab world, then why not march in front of the Sudanese embassy?
What is the purpose of an elected official? Is it to lead his people, or to reflect the will of his people? When you consider that for the first time since the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Israelis came together and gave their government almost unanimous support in waging war with Hezbollah. For a time, it seemed that Ariel Sharon was right when he created a new political party that was a true middle ground between Likud and Labor. But with his latest move, the feeling in Israel is one of embarrassment and shame. Israelis have to be wondering why they sacrificed their sons for this. Is Hezbollah still around? Is Israel any safer? Was it worth it? It seems to me that as long as Kadima remains in power, Israelis will no longer be willing to sacrifice for the government. That, my friends, is the greatest tragedy of all.
If Iranian leader Ama-nutjob is right and there was no Holocaust, why is he displaying Holocaust cartoons in Tehran?
Why hasn't there been any outrage in Britain for a child whose passport was rejected because her photo showed her bare arms? Apparently, this five-year-old girl was wearing a tank-top and the way the camera was set up, the picture came out showing her shoulders. Now, here's the punch line...the mother was told it was rejected because "the exposed skin might be considered offensive in a Muslim country."
You know what? I find being blown to bits by an Islamic fascist to be offensive!
If there was ever a breaking point between my own disgust and rage, that story was it.
Nancy Pelosi had a great line today in regard to President Bush diminishing our security. "They are not Swift boating us on security," she said. Now let's just understand this comment. I presume she's talking about the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the huge group that blew the cover off of John Kerry's Vietnam claims. Personally, I still don't see why we should believe a proven liar over the word of hundreds of his comrades. Anyway, what Pelosi is saying is that she feels that the President is doing now what the SBVT did then. As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather place my security with the hundreds of soldiers of the SBVT, than with Pelosi or Kerry any day.
Who was it who claimed Bush was politicizing the war?
Okay folks, it's 2006, not 1983. Who cares if Boy George is sweeping the street? I'm just surprised he's still alive, to be honest. Amazing. After all these years, Boy George and George Michael (apparently, no relation) are still in the news. Does it really surprise anyone that the news was not very good?
One last thing. Boo-friggin'-hoo! I say it's about time. Now if we could just get the US to do that. Nah, not likely. Not as long as the ACLUseless is around.
