This is a tale of two different worlds.
The Islamofacists have struck again. This time, however, it was thwarted by British intelligence. In what could have been the worst disaster since 9/11, at least 6 planes were to be blown out of the sky on route to the States. Once again, Muslim terrorists attempted to kill innocent men and women because they feel they have a valid grievance with the West.
If a Christian, Jew, Buddhist, or whatever else has a problem, they don’t blow up planes and buildings. No, that’s strictly an Islamic thing.
In speaking about the plot yesterday, President Bush put the blame where it belonged. Saying it was a "stark reminder" that the United States was "at war with Islamic fascists."
But if you listen to the left-wing blogs, there’s no story here. Once again, the nutroots on the Left can not fathom that what we are doing has anything to do with Islamic, or any other, terror.

In the different popular left-wing blogs I researched over the last few days, nary any even mentioned the plot to blow up the planes. In two of the few that did, it was only mentioned to accuse Karl Rove and Dick Cheney of “making the story up” in order to scare the populace right before the elections (three months away).
The stupidity here is that it proves that Americans consider the Democrats weak on national defense. If they thought differently, perhaps they wouldn’t need a Rove/Cheney conspiracy.
The main story in the left-wing blogosphere was the aftermath of the Ned Lamont/Joe Lieberman primary.
Guys, it was a PRIMARY! To hear the nutroots take on it, you would think it was the most important election in the history of the World. In fact however, it was two Democrats who have vastly different opinions about the country and where it should head.
Six years ago, Joe Lieberman was the toast of the Democrats. As Al Gore’s running mate, he enjoyed Party-wide support and admiration. But as the country changed on 9/11, so did the Democrats. In their burning need to blame everyone but themselves for the loss in the 2000 and 2004 elections, instead of analyzing what they needed to do to realign with middle America, they chose a path towards an even deeper divide.
I can not understand the thought process that has led the Democrats to this point. By refusing to internalize the cause of their recent election woes, what they have done is embrace the very thing that most certainly led their downfall. Jimmy Carter and, more recently, Bill Clinton understood the way to win the White House was by being more of a moderate. Whether a bleeding-heart liberal or not, they both understood that when it comes to winning the election, coming across as a liberal is political suicide on the national stage.
But the Democrats don’t get it. Instead of coming to terms with the center, they have openly embraced the fringe. Instead of Scoop Jackson, we get Al Sharpton. In place of Mario Coumo, we get Michael Moore.
Sense a pattern here?
Nowhere is this more apparent than in the media. At one time, the news was whatever Walter Cronkite, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, Dan Rather or the CNN anchors reported. When the first Persian Gulf War played out, we sat glued to the TV and watched with bated breath as Peter Arnett reported live from Baghdad. More than just reporting the news, CNN at the time was the news.
But finally, there is another option. Because of the Internet and the blogosphere, not to mention FOXNews, the truth has now been told. Whether it was Eason Jordan admitting that CNN paid for access in return for their reputation, or Dan Rather being outed for the biased reporter he is, the new media is taking charge.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, this means they no longer have power of the mainstream media behind them anymore. Oh, they may still be supported by the MSM, but it no longer matters.
Now that blogs, such as Little Green Footballs and bloggers like Michelle Malkin have exposed the propaganda of the MSM, and by extension, the liberal’s agenda, Democrats must realize how far removed they are from ever winning the White House again.
I recently read about a poll that suggests over 30% of Americans believe that 9/11 was an inside job. This is so absurd, it almost shouldn’t even be considered. But that’s what happens when people become so desperate that they try to fool us into believing their lies. These are the same people who want you to believe that the Jews were told to stay at home that day. These are the same people who place a moral equivalence between those who murder innocent civilians and those who do everything they can to avoid it.
This really is a tale of two Worlds.
Difference is, mine lives in reality.
