I've posted this before, but I'm adding a few and I think it's time to repost it. Don Surber linked something similar (and I admit I borrowed some from that post, which was done originally by Basilsblog) and it just made me realize it needs to be said again:

Why I'm going to vote Democrat in November

I am voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I am voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that Israel is the root cause of all the problems in the Middle East.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that Jews do not have the right to live in East Jerusalem, but that Arabs can live in Tel Aviv.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that destroying Clarence Thomas was fair and reasonable, but questioning Sonia Sotomayor on her own remarks is racist.

I'm voting Democrat because Hollywood actors who pretend for a living and little or no real education know more about history and the World than I do.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that Americans who have been burned by years purchasing poorly made cars will suddenly embrace GM cars now that they are being designed by bureaucrats.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the words a President uses are more important that his actions.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe Capitalism no longer works and we should follow the European socialist model - even though European socialism is slowly being replaced by Islam.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as Muslims aren't offended by it.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that nationalizing the health insurance industry, the same way Massachusetts did it, will not destroy our economy the way it's doing to Massachusetts.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe digging is the best way to get out of a hole like spending is the best way to get out of a recession.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

I am voting Democrat because I believe dissent is patriotic only if you are a liberal.

I am voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the best way to help our economy is to bankrupt our children and grandchildren.

I'm now voting Democrat because I believe it's arrogant to spread freedom and democracy.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I am voting Democrat because I am against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

I am voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.

I am voting Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

I am voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists who've never been outside of Seattle do.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't, because the right people haven't been in charge.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

I am voting Democrat because I believe that the military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.

I'm voting Democrat because the principles that made this nation the greatest in history are flawed and must be "fundamentally changed" for the greater good. Government is better than private. A guarantee is better than ambition.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe it is not fair that Keith Olbermann is less popular than Rush Limbaugh and I believe it is the governments job to fix the disparity.

I am voting Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

If you have any you'd like to add, I'd love to hear them.

I have a new hero.

I caught a clip from MSNBC the other day, where host David Shuster talked to Kevin Jackson, an outspoken African-American conservative. Here is the video:

I was impressed, and inspired by Jackson, that I decided to do a little follow-up work and find out who he was. This led me to his website, The Black Sphere.

Wow. Of course, I'm well familiar with the liberal dialogue that says "Blacks who support the Right are Uncle Toms and sell-outs." Don't believe me? Just ask Jesse Jackson, and the Congressional Black Caucus.

So here is Kevin Jackson, a black conservative. Like Condeleeza Rice, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele and thousands of other African-Americans, he has decided to actually stand up to the liberal group-think and has become a successful author of a book, "The Big Black Lie" that deals with how liberalism (and the Democrats) have destroyed the black community (and continue to do so). I just ordered the book myself. It's a first-hand account from someone who has lived it.

Anyway, I wanted to share Mr. Jackson's latest blog post, which is not only informational, but again, inspiring:

Democrats Lawyer Up

If you don’t have enough proof that a black voice of Conservatism is needed today more than ever, look at what just happened since the boy who would be king has usurped America! Despite the protestations of the majority of the people, we got Deathcare, and they used black Democrats to make it happen!

The real first black president Bill Clinton couldn’t do pass it. He even used his wife, Hillary “I Don’t Feel No Way Tired[1]” Rodham-Clinton in an attempt to cajole black people to support DeathCare. But black people were having no part of HillaryCare, despite her invocation of Rev James Cleveland or Bill’s supposed witnessing of black churches being burned, when he was a mere child. All the religious imagery did nothing to sway black Democrtas to support DeathCare during The Clintonista Era – Part I.

Has DeathCare changed? They shifted a few things here and there, move this to that and what not. But at the end of the day ObamaCare is just HillaryCare in a new Italian suit. And it translates to DeathCare regardless of the author, so it means means fewer doctors delivering sub-par medical care to the fewer people. CastroCare!

Regardless, this time DeathCare sold…sort of! Which brings me to just how Amerika got DeathCare, and who was the Liberals “Deliverer.” (Hint)

One of my friends, Lloyd Marcus calls Obama “the Progressives’ black Trojan horse” in a very well written piece. That depiction of Obama is spot on accurate! Who better than to propagate the continuation of Democrats’ destruction of the black population and America as a whole, than a pseudo black man riding in on a Trojan horse?!

Margaret Sanger recommended using black preachers, back in the day when she proposed The Negro Project[2]. The Dems did, and it worked well into the old millennium. Through the use of a few black preachers, the Democrats all but erased their unbelievably dismal record on civil rights, and in a stroke of sheer genius, flipped it onto the Republican Party—the TRUE party of civil rights! Democrats of yore used black men of God to sell black people back into slavery. BRILLIANT…if you’re a “Progressive,” not so good for black people.

However the game changed on those wiley Dems. Black people, previously staunch Conservatives, became infected with the disease of Liberalism. Family values were abandoned, education was not stressed. Black churches eroded into political pulpits, where the discussion was less about God, and more about the next White or Black Political Hope! Churches became dens of trickery, parading white Democrat politicians in front of eager black minds–eager to get something for nothing, the Liberal way. White politicians promised to give black people “just enough to quiet them down, but not enough to make a difference.[3]” They fulfilled that promise.

God left the black church, when the church decided Government was their new god. This marginalized the black “ministers,” and the Democrats needed a new strategy…a better mousetrap as it were. Why use a few slick black hucksters posing as men of God, when you can have a Godless LAWYER!

The fact that he is “light-skin with no Negro dialect (unless he needs it)[4]” is just icing on that German pseudo-chocolate cake! The day of the bouffant hairdo preacher ended, and the slick big city pseudo black attorney was en vogue!

The black Progressive Trojan horse now known as Barry “Barack Obama” Soetoro started out running on popularity, but his real role was to lawyer up! Yes, America got beaten by a team of lawyers, led by one of the most corrupt lawyers on the planet, so much so that he and his wife no longer practice law. Some believe they CAN’T anymore.

It gets better. Barry Soetoro is not just a lawyer. If that were the case, they could have found just about any light-skin with no Negro dialect Negro to parade in front of America. No, Barry is the Holy Grail for Progressives. He is also a race-baiting elitist! Think about it. He can appoint Black Nationalists, and nobody on the Left says a word. Why wouldn’t white Liberals be appalled? Because appointing Black Nationalists provides fuel to controlling black people, Silly!

“Oo, I love me some Van Jones! And he won’t take nothin’ from no white folks. And Mark Lloyd is gone git us some money, and git those CEOs out of they jobs, so we can run some companies!”

Here’s the wrap:

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Republicans remain the party of civil rights and Democrats are still slave owners. We find ourselves in a similar situation as in the mid 1800’s, and nothing has changed. This is why I call the year 2010, Emancipation II – This time even the white folks get freed. Freedom will again come by the hands of a Republicans. This time it may be a black Republican who is America’s new Superman!

Black Republicans will be called on to stem the tide of Liberalism in black communities, or Democrat will continue to use black people to pass legislation that will not help black people or anybody else for that matter. Democrats have watered-down health care, just like they watered-down black people past and present.

Democrats recognized that black pastors couldn’t get it done during the Era of the Clintinistas, so this time they “lawyered up!”

That’s my rant!

Liberals love to call conservatives "racists." But history has proven over and over again that it's the Democrat Party that has it's ties to deep-seated racism. All the "social-engineering"in the world can't hide the fact that it still runs rampant in the left. Yes, I know that Rep. John Lewis alleges that someone called him the "N" word. But for one thing, there has been no proof. In today's cell-phone camera word, you'd think someone would have heard it. That's why Andrew Breitbart has offered a $10,000 reward for evidence (and why there hasn't been any takers). It's an old liberal trick to create phony outrages as a play for victimhood.

I'm not saying some member of the tea-party movement isn't a closet racist. There are crazy people everywhere. But the Democrats have created this lie - swallowed by the leftist media - that conservatives are racists and fear-mongers. When in reality, it's just the opposite. I believe in psychology we call that "projecting."

Let me put it in the simplest of terms. Y'all remember the old adage about teaching someone to fish, don't you? It goes like this:

"If you give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. But if you teach him to fish, he'll eat for life."

Well, at least until Obama comes along and makes private fishing illegal. Yes, I know that this was not exactly what he meant, but sometimes I do have to play for laughs.

Anyway, my point is, what Obama - and statists, such as himself, wish to do is give away the fish that other's have caught. This is what all these social programs - most notably President Johnson's "Great Society" - was all about. While it is charitable to want to help people, it is malevolent to do so in a way that destroys ones ability to do for himself.

Conservatives do not want to turn their backs on those less fortunate. Far from it. We just understand that, for one thing, charity should not be coerced. And regardless of what liberals say, Conservatives are more charitable than they are.

Look, I know from what I speak. I have often been in need from others and believe me, it is the worst feeling in the world. So why would I want to bestow that feeling to millions of unfortunate others? Yes, there are people who need. But constantly giving and giving and giving (and I don't mean to the old and the infirm), we are sucking the life and liberty from individuals.

Remember that poor woman who claimed on Election Day that now that Obama was elected, she won't have to pay for her mortgage? Do you honestly believe she was a lone wolf?

It's very easy to get elected when you promise people something for free. But someone has to pay for it. Unfortunately, the black community has been paying for it with their children and their blood. And the hands soaked in red belongs to the Democrat Party.

Heroes like Kevin Jackson understand this.

From Newsbusters:

The Media's Myth of Right Wing Violence

There's a disturbing chill in the air according to the leftist media. Threats of violence and rumor of murder are taking up center stage instead of reporting legitimate public outrage about the passage of Obamacare. You need not click far online to hear another person refer to Glenn Beck as "dangerous", yet they can never claim specifically why they consider him dangerous. Despite the rhetoric, the media refuses to follow up with what makes a man, who has spent hours just this year begging people to remain peaceful, so obscenely dangerous.

Glaringly obvious to readers in this latest round of reports is that there are no specific examples of alleged threats of violence cited. I can only find one specific threat that caused the FBI to swoop in and ask a speaker to wear a bullet-proof vest on the tip that the speaker would be gunned down by an assassin. But that speaker was Glenn Beck.

Whether this is a shortcut to 2nd Amendment action, valid concern, or just a bunch of crybaby progressive politicians over-reacting to criticism, it's hard to tell. But Obama's desire to continue ramming through the most divisive legislation even against his own creed isn't helping bring calm to even the most peaceful conservatives. And while the evidence of a violent right is scarce, there's no limit to liberals attempting to make conservatives look evil.

Before letting the media continue to perpetuate a stereotype that may not actually exist at all, let me give you the facts that U.S. journalists refuse to cite. Let me show you where real violence comes from, and I don't even need to mention the millions of babies killed every year by progressives or even the tens of millions of people murdered by their communist heroes.

I could literally go on and on, but let's try to have some perspective here. Violence is a product of the fringe, on either side, and it's sickening to try to use it for political advantage. Those who commit violence in the name of politics deserve political change no more than they deserve leniency in sentencing. Violence furthers no cause. The only call to action that violence has ever motivated in Americans is in the retaliation on attackers. Somehow I think the liberals know that very well.

The media and politicians who are trying to construct a meme of conservative violence as we run up to the 2010 elections should only face the weapon they fear most; the ballot.

What I learned from Obama's Kabuki theatre...

1. Obama is extraordinarily arrogant

Yeah, I know I've thought this way for some time. But there were a few examples that proved to me it was not just my imagination. For one thing, his comment to John McCain - a Congressman/Senator now for almost 30 years, who not only is 30 years older than the President, but has more life experience in his pinky than Teh Won has in his entire body - reminding him that "the campaign is over." Just who the hell does Obama think he is, talking to this American hero this way. I am not a big McCain supporter and I held my nose when I voted for him is '08. But to arrogantly dismiss what was an honest comment about why the health care bill is ill-advised was simply way out of line.

In addition, Obama made certain to call each person who spoke by their first name. That may be appropriate with House members he is friendly with. But it comes across as very demeaning to others who have served this country longer that Obama has. It's an arrogance that shows contempt for those who represent the citizens of this country.

Whenever any Republican made a point, valid or not, Obama dismissed it as either grandstanding, or simply irrelevant. It was a hypocritical display of partisanship demeaning to the office. It didn't upset me that he garnered over 33% of the allotted time, after all, he is the President. But to verbalize that being the reason was again tremendously arrogant.

2. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are bald-faced liars

Again, not a huge surprise. Pelosi's big lie was then she said that there is no abortion funding in the bill. Even Obama himself admitted there was - although, he "claims" it was put in there without his knowledge. That would be like the Trump corporation building a casino without "the Donald" knowing about it.

Of course, this pales somewhat in comparison to her remarks yesterday, that this is the "most ethical Congress ever." Charlie Rangel, William Jefferson, Chris Dodd, Alan Mollohan, John Conyers, the late John Murtha and Barney Frank were unavailable for comment.

Reid's whopper was even better. He blurted out "no one is talking about reconciliation!" Well, no one except Reid and just about every other member of the Democrat Party.

3. The Republicans are the party of "no"

Being against a takeover of 1/6 the economy is not a bad thing. Many bad policies have been shelved because members of Congress have said "no." Personally, I think saying "no" is not strong enough. "Hell no" sounds more like it.

I find it simply amazing that the Democrats (read: Obama) is blaming the failure (thus far) of passing this health care monstrosity on the GOP. Last time I checked, they only held 41 seats in the Senate and when the original bills were passed, only 40 seats. Meaning, not one single Republican could stand in the way of it's passage.

When Obama argues he will put this through with reconciliation, what he's really saying is that he will do this even though 10 Democrats are against it as well. My belief is that if the bill is so odious to half the members of the Senate, perhaps it's not the right bill to pass.

4. Obama doesn't care what his constituents want

This is an interesting issue. Obama won the election with 53% of the vote. Of course, you could say that aside from the African-American voters who turned out in record numbers, many of his votes came not for him, but for anyone but George Bush (and his party). Still, Obama won fair and square.

Unfortunately, this victory led him to believe he was elected because of his policies - when in fact, many voters admitted at the time they simply wanted a new face (who wasn't George Bush) and knew very little about Obama. Never, at any point and time (with the exception of the far Left) did the voters want a far-Left, socialist-leaning, radical agenda put in play. Polls taken at the time and in the following months indicated that while the populace liked Obama personally, they were not looking for radical changes in society.

However, due to his own arrogance, Obama believed the hype about being "the one we've been waiting for." His world apology tour embarrassed the American people and his handling of almost every situation since has caused his popularity to plummet to unprecidented depths (according to the latest Rasmussen poll, only 22% strongly approve of him, 43% somewhat approve and now 55% disapprove).

Furthermore, according to the latest AP polling, just 30% of Americans want the health care bill that Obama is selling. There are sweious doubts now that the Democrats will be able to pass this legislation even with reconcilliation. While MSNBC and the Democrat Party may believe the Tea Party movement is a joke, they are clearly making a dent in public discourse. Many Democrats are openly worried that they will be slaughtered in the election in November, if they vote for this. They are right.

5. The Republicans won the day

The American people aren't as stupid and Bill Maher and the rest of the unhinged Left think they are. Obama had hoped not to influence the GOP, but to make them look weak in the face of Obama's superior rhetorical skills. Instead, even though they only got 33% of the allotted time to present their side, they came across far more interested in working for their constituents then the Dems did. It was ammusing to hear Chris Matthews complain the other day that the GOP "came prepared", as if it were a bad thing. Personally, I would never go into a meeting like this unprepared!

Much to the chagrin of the President, the GOP does have a plan for health care. For the past year, all we heard from the Democrats was how the Republicans have no plan except to stall. Reid even compared that (untrue) tactic to slavery. But the GOP proved that while they are firmly against the monolithic bill, they are clearly for reforming the health care industry.

in conclusion, this summit was simply an exercise not in Democracy, but in bloviation and failed strategy. Obama hoped for the GOP to be taken to the woodshed, and instead, he was the one who looked smaller for it. Following the meeting, polling showed that the popularity of this bill shrank even further.

Obama likes to say the reason the bill isn't more acceptable is because he hasn't explained it well enough. Considering that he has spoken of little else for the past four months, it is highly unlikely that's the case. But his arrogance dictates that he is too smart and too big to fail. Therefore, it must be the American people who are at fault for this bill being so unpopular.

But polling shows that the more he speaks of it, the less attractive it is.

So why does he and the Democrats insist on shoving it down our throats? It could be because Obama has invested so much capital that he fears failure will destroy his Presidency. However, Clinton faced the same struggle. The difference being in 1994, the GOP conquered the House and Senate. This allowed Clinton to move more to the Center, which in turn raised his popularity and gave him a landslide victory over Bob Dole in '96.

Or, it could be that the Left simply believes that the American people are stupid and they know what's best for them. Never underestimate the arrogance of modern liberalism. But this also is a clear indication that the Dems misread their mandate in '08, much like Bush did in '04.

The amazing thing about all of this is that it is so unnecessary. Yes, there are problems with health care - no one is questioning that. But American care is by far the best in the world. No one is refused emergency care and while the costs are astronomical, it is the price we pay for it. In countries where health care is supposedly free, income taxes, which pay for it, are crippling. Currently, 14% of the population is on Medicare. 14% is on Medicaid. 9% receive government benefits. 4% are on military health plans. 43% receive coverage from their private employment. Only 6% of the population actually purchases their own insurance. Yet the Democrats want to destroy the insurance companies over this (h/t EIB, via Doug Ross).

Another amazing this is that while the White House screams about the absurd profits made by the insurance companies, you could take the annual profits of the private health insurance companies and buy health insurance for people for two days.

Consider that the next time President Obama vilifies the 'obscene' profits of the insurance companies.

Monday, November 09, 2009

As many of you know, I am strongly against this health care monstrosity that is being forced upon us by our elected officials. Thankfully, enough Democrats care enough about their constituents to actually represent their wishes and will most probably, reject this horrible seizure of 1/6 of our economy.

I am simply astounded at the utter arrogance of Pelosi, Obama, and anyone else who is foisting this behemoth entitlement against our freedom. These communist/socialist/Marxist (or maybe they are simply stupid) will probably never understand why they are eventually voted out of office (assuming they aren't tarred and feathered first). I guess stupidity and arrogance does go hand in hand.

As always, Doug Ross has the goods:

The Health Care Bill in Ninety Seconds

The key 'features' of of H.R. 3962:

Cost

The CBO now estimates health bill spending at $3 trillion over 10 years. Since the CBO historically underestimates expenses, assume massive new deficits for a country that can ill afford them.

Personal Requirements

You'll be required to buy a 'qualified' health plan. A family earning $102K a year will pay $1,700 a month in premium and out-of-pocket expenses. 'Willful' failure to buy a plan will result in a fine of up to $250,000 and 'imprisonment of up to five years'. Illegal immigrants are exempt from fines and imprisonment.

Business Requirements

Every business in America must provide a 'qualified plan' for employees and pay 72.5% of the cost. Failure to do so results in an 8% payroll tax.

Impact to Seniors

Medicare reimbursements will be slashed by $500 billion. Medicare Advantage plans will be slashed by 20%. In many cases, seniors will be forced to see nurse practitioners rather than doctors.

Payments for Community Organizers, Translators and Racial/Ethnic 'Balance'

The bill provides grants to community "entities" with no required qualifications. The bill also provides translators for patients who do not speak English and offers grants to schools serving students with "disadvantaged backgrounds including racial and ethnic minorities."

Illegal Immigrants Covered, Abortion Funding Still Possible

Proof of citizenship requirements were gutted, so illegal aliens will be subsidized. The legislation also "doesn't close the door to using taxpayer funds" for abortions.

This bill truly is, as Michele Bachmann describes it, the "crown jewel of socialism". Its implementation will result in an economic catastrophe of the first order as certainly as the sun rises in the morning.

How can anyone with half a brain want this??? For those of you who do, do you not realize the ramifications of your desires?

I would love to hear from someone, anyone, who supports this plan and please explain to me why you think this is a good idea. I'm not saying that American health care is perfect. But if you must do something, and there are very valid arguments for doing something, why do something as horrible and dangerous as this?

Why Don't They Get It?

Brain dead. That's what David Horowitz says and I agree with him.

That's the only explanation I can logically deduce about our media, and by extension, our culture.

Or perhaps a better definition is suicidal.

Here we have a man, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim with an Internet site praising Islamic suicide bombers as defenders of their comrades. As an officer in the U.S. Army, he had access to military intelligence and lethal weaponry. In fact, the military was well aware her was an Islamic fundamentalist as e was under investigation for six months because of his anti-American, jihadist rantings.

But despite the fact his beliefs were counter t the very ideals he swore to protect, and despite the fact he was being investigated for his possibly treasonous actions, the U.S. Army allowed him to remain an officer and continue to counsel soldiers, in his job as a psychologist - even after complaints were levied on him for abusing his position by attempting to convert his patients to Islam

Yet the media, and not just here in America, continue to question what possible motive Hasan might have had for the shooting death of 13 soldiers at Ft. Hood. Even when they do mention the fact that he was a "Palestinian," it is often done so with the charge that it is "Islamophobic."

Forget about the fact that had this been a Republican "tea-bagger", there would be no end to the bashing of all things conservative. Keith Olbermann would host a 3 hour special about the "New Nazis - the GOP" (although, in retrospect, I think he does that nightly on MSNBC anyway).

Had this been a Jew, the condemnation of Zionism, about dual-loyalties and about how Jews are filled with bloodlust would lead to another UN resolution and mass self-flagellation of Jews worldwide.

But because Hasan was a Muslim, the press bends over backwards to play dumb and ignore the obvious.

I really appreciated what Mark Steyn wrote on the National Review blog:

The Headline of the Day, from the BBC:

Shooting Raises Fears For Muslims In US Army

Really? Right now the body count stands at:

Non-Muslims 13
Muslims 0

Mr. Horowitz asks, "is everybody out of their mind?"

In response, former CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) news producer, Deborah Gyapong, had this interesting observation:

Yup. And those who aren't out of their mind get banned from university campuses and tracked by human rights commissions.

As Jim Treacher tweeted recently:

If this idiot had been wearing an I Kill Unbelievers 4 the Glory of Allah t-shirt, they'd still be going, "Whuh-whuh-why did he do this?"

Adds Gyapong, "Our culture is suicidal, folks. Somehow the part of us that is still awake has to rouse the lethargic body and grab the phone and call 911. As I said, this is NOT about Muslims. It is about the decay of western civilization and its embrace of some strange death wish. We're the ones who love death---our own."

I'm not sure it is all of us who feel this way. But the same blindness that led to the election of Barack Obama is leading us down a very dark and dangerous street. I was never a fan of Bill Clinton. But I was never afraid about the future of my country when he was President.

This fear is neither Islamophobia, or racism. It is my taking the blinders off and actually looking at the world around us. Unfortunately, our nation has been so deceived by political correctness, we are now impotent to notice.

But there is still yet hope for us. The election results in New Jersey and Virginia confirm that the Obama phenomenon was, as Charles Krauthammer so eloquently stated:

"The '08 election was a historical anomaly. A uniquely charismatic candidate was running at a time of deep war weariness, with an intensely unpopular Republican president, against a politically incompetent opponent, amid the greatest financial collapse since the Great Depression. And still he won by only seven points."

It really is no wonder why Nancy Pelosi was so desperate to pass her monstrosity of a health care bill so quickly. She knew darn well that with each passing day, the Obama "mandate" diminishes to nothingness. Even though the bill barely slipped through congress yesterday, the fact that it passed by only 5 votes (in a House that is over 60% Democrat) sends a clear signal that is destined to fail in the Senate.

What all this means is that while the media, and the Obama administration may still have their heads up their proverbial asses, more and more Americans are waking up to reality.

I can only hope it isn't too late.
